The launch of the Chevrolet MyLink will be introduced with
the 2014 Chevy Impala. Eventually, the next-gen MyLink will spread to the rest
of 2014 models including trucks and the C7 Vette! This new, much easier to use
interface will allow users to control mobile devices, online services such as
Pandora or Stitcher Radio, integrates OnStar services and much more, all while
being hands free! The next-gen
MyLink also will be able to integrate up to ten (yes ten) different mobile
devices at once!
The latest MyLink uses touch screen interaction to put
instructions in, so any user of a smartphone or tablet device will feel right
at home. The really cool feature to the MyLink is the new advanced “natural
language” voice recognition. This
means you will be able to speak commands in a normal way, instead of using a
set list of memorized phrases.
Depending on who’s driving the vehicle (i.e.
mom, dad, son, or daughter), there are separate personalities for each user to
choose from: Contemporary, Edge, Velocity and Main Street. The latest MyLink
will also let you store up to 60 radio stations, destinations, media files,
contacts and more!
