2014 Jeep Cherokee Review

2014 Jeep Cherokee Review

ELIZABETH CITY, NC- The Jeep Liberty's replacement made its debut at the New York International Auto Show with a surprisingly radical new design that has shocked Jeep fans near and far. The updated design of the 2014 Jeep Cherokee is definitely not what you would expect from the off-road brand, but in an effort to win back mid-size SUV buyers who are looking for a more fuel efficient model the Cherokee will go on sale this fall. Check out our 2014 Jeep Cherokee Review to discover all that the new SUV has to offer.

One important aspect of the new 2014 Jeep Cherokee is fuel efficiency. Produced on the Dodge Dart platform, a 400 pound weight loss from the Jeep Liberty will allow the Cherokee to achieve up to 31 mpg hwy with its 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and nine-speed transmission. But that doesn't mean that the rugged automaker's new mid-size SUV isn't built for off-roading too. The 2014 Jeep Cherokee will be offered in four trim levels: base Sport, Limited, Latitude, and Trailhawk. Specifically, the Trailhawk trim level will come equipped with Firestone Destination A/T tires, an added inch of ground clearance totaling 8.7 inches, unique half-shafts and skid plates, and of course Jeep's "Trail Rated" badge.

Take one look, and it's obvious that the exterior styling has been radically updated. More aerodynamic, Jeep's traditional round headlights are replaced with a more square design underneath the sharply angled turn signals. The iconic seven-slat grille has also been replaced by a smaller grille that is creased at the Cherokee's nose. Around back, you'll notice the rear now resembles that of a crossover-type vehicle.

Inside, you'll enjoy all of your usual Jeep quality including plenty of room for both front and rear passengers thanks to reclining and sliding seats. Driving in the 2014 Jeep Cherokee will be more enjoyable with the new UConnect infotainment system and adaptive cruise control.

It won't be long before you can check it out for yourself when the new 2014 Jeep Cherokee arrives on your Washington Area Jeep Dealer and Greenville Area Jeep Dealer's lot this fall.
