New Chrysler 640 HP Supercharged V8 "Hellcat" Engine

New Chrysler 640 HP Supercharged V8 "Hellcat" Engine
ELIZABETH CITY, NC- There's a new cat on the block, a supercharged 640 horsepower "Hellcat" to be specific! Word has broke that Chrysler Group has a new HEMI engine in the works which has been nicknamed "Hellcat" for its boost in power that rivals the 2013 SRT Viper's V10 engine! Before federal regulations to produce vehicles that achieve 54.5 mpg by 2025 begin to be enforced, Chrysler plans to release one more rubber-burning and fuel-guzzling HEMI engine!

The New Chrysler 6.2-Liter V8 Supercharged 640 HP "Hellcat" Engine is expected to make its official debut in the next generation Dodge Challenger, and may appear in other Chrysler vehicles too. Receiving an extra boost of power from a supercharger, the 640 horsepower output is an early estimate but the new HEMI engine is expected to produce the same amount of power that is produced by the V-10 engine in the 2013 SRT Viper. It has also been rumored that a new eight-speed transmission will debut with the new HEMI engine as well. We expect the next Dodge Challenger with the New Chrysler 640 HP Supercharged V8 "Hellcat" Engine to debut in the middle of 2014 as a 2015 model.
