Custom Camaro Revs Up DreamWorks Animation's 'Turbo'

Custom Camaro Revs Up DreamWorks Animation's 'Turbo'

ELIZABETH CITY, NC- Chevrolet is making an appearance on the big screen as a Custom Chevy Camaro revs up DreamWorks Animation's 'Turbo'!  According to General Motors, the animated vehicle is part of a film collaboration between Chevy and DreamWorks animation that aims to engage racing fans in the United States and select international markets.

The Custom Chevrolet Camaro that will cameo in this summer's DreamWorks film has appeared at numerous auto shows this year, exciting all that encountered it. While the concept Camaro was built specifically to promote the animated movie, it's like something out of a fantasy with a huge rear wing, a COPO hood, and supercharged V8 engine boasting more than 700 horsepower! The eye-catching 24-inch wheels complete the car's slick look.

The Custom Chevy Camaro in DreamWorks Animation's 'Turbo' is central to the film's plot. The Camaro shines on the big screen when Turbo the snail meets the custom muscle car, and the Chevy logo is also prominent in scenes that take place at the Indianapolis 500. This collaboration is historic since it is the first time that DreamWorks has worked with another company in this way.

As for the film, this high-speed 3D comedy features a little snail named Turbo who kicks into overdrive after an encounter with the Camaro. Family-focused and centered around racing, this movie is sure to be one that both the kids and parents will enjoy.

"Turbo is one of the most anticipated films of the summer, and we couldn't be more excited about this collaboration, which aligns perfectly with Chevrolet's renewed presence in INDYCAR," said Tim Mahoney, chief marketing officer, Chevrolet. "Millions of future drivers will be inspired by Turbo to realize their dreams both big and small."

All of the talk about this custom Chevy Camaro comes at an exciting time, as many have begun speculating about the unveiling of the 2014 Camaro. Take a look at what we know so far in our 2014 Camaro Spy Shots.
