Ram is the Official Truck of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Ram is the Official Truck of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. – Ever wondered how much a Ram truck can actually tow? The answer is an entire parade––one of the biggest parades in America, in fact. Ram is the official truck of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade this year and you can bet they're kicking off the holiday season the right way.

Ram is providing the Macy’s Parade with about 70 trucks and commercial vans. You can see 25 of these trucks towing your favorite floats through New York City on the day of the parade. The other 45 will be used behind-the-scenes for transporting tools, moving materials, costumes, and much more.

With Ram as the official truck of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, it gets a chance to showcase its style, innovation, and towing capability. There’s no doubt that the Ram trucks will be able to transport the floats with ease and take on the challenges of preparing for the big day.

Besides the Macy’s Parade, Ram is kicking off this season with a giveaway promotion. To recognize the hardworking men and women of America, Ram is giving a grand prize of a $15,000 voucher towards a two-year lease on a new 2015 or 2016 Ram ProMaster City, and up to $5,000 toward up-fits for the van. If you’re interested in nominating a local volunteer in your community, visit www.ramtrucks.com/ramgivesthanks between Nov. 25 and Jan. 4.

Tune into NBC for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Nov. 26 at 9 a.m. to watch the Ram trucks make their debut with the other 3.5 million spectators in NYC and 50 million television viewers!

Want a Ram truck for yourself? Come by our Ram deal near South Mills, NC to take one for a test-drive. We’re happy to help you with anything you need to find the perfect vehicle. ELIZABETH CITY, NC – Break out the stretchy pants, Thanksgiving is just days away! If you're like us, you've got one thing on your mind and that's getting to the dinner table on Thursday. However, with it being the busiest travel time of the year, that's not always an easy task. By plane, train, or automobile – chances are you'll run into some nasty traffic congestion however you're getting to your Thanksgiving gathering. But, your turkey day travels don't have to send your stress through the roof as long as you keep Google's Thanksgiving Travel Tips in mind!

As the holiday nears of course the roads are going to be more congested, but there are a few times to avoid most of it according to Google's data from the past two years! Consider these tips when your finalizing your travel plans and you'll thank us later!

Google's Thanksgiving Travel Tips

  • Avoid Wednesday travel at all costs if possible! Google's data reveals that the Wednesday before Thanksgiving is the worst day of the year to travel! Even worse is from 3-5pm on that day! If you're willing to brave the roads that day, do yourself a favor and leave much earlier or later.
  • In contrast, turkey day is actually the best day of the week to travel! Research shows that there is the least amount of traffic for the whole week on Thursday, especially from 12-2pm. Of course that's because most people are feasting, but if your plans allow it, that's the best time time to hit the road!
  • When it's time to head home, you won't beat traffic by hitting the road Saturday! Google's data shows that traffic can actually be 40% worse on Saturday. In the spirit of the holiday, spend a little extra time with the family and head home on Sunday when traffic is not as bad!

Taking it one step further – being unprepared for a holiday trip can immediately induce stress. Make things easier on yourself by getting all of your errands done early this week and packing early so that when it comes time to brave the traffic, all you have to do is jump in the car!

New Ram Campaign Raises Hunger Awareness

New Ram Campaign Raises Hunger Awareness

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. – Did you know that 49 million Americans struggle to put food on the table? Ram is asking hunters and farmers to help end hunger one deer at a time.

The new Ram campaign raises hunger awareness in America by celebrating the outdoors lifestyle. Partnering with Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry(FHFH), Ram is encouraging hunters and farmers to donate a portion of their harvest to feed the less fortunate around the nation.

Ram is a big advocate for all things outdoors and they know that many hunters and farmers use their trucks, hence the target audience for this campaign. FHFH has a national network of meat processors and food banks that will help Ram feed Americans across 30 states.

The new Ram campaign raises hunger awareness with the clever hash tag #RamHuntsHunger. Hunters and farmers will see this everywhere! American Hunter and Field & Stream will be featuring print ads. There will be a huge push on social media as well by Ram and some of their marketing partners such as Mossy Oak and Drury Outdoors. Lastly, Ram has dished out four new commercials: “Stay Inside”, “Small”, “Donate”, and “Landscape.” Each spot speaks directly to the hunter to encourage donations.

Ram has a history of making a difference with their brand. They are happy to be able to use their voice to a particular audience in order to help their country. If you’re interested in donating head to: RamTrucks.com/outdoorsman. Any donation you make can help! One deer can supply up to 200 meals for Americans.
